Duchess, Alberta

Duchess is a village in southern Alberta, Canada that is surrounded by the County of Newell.

It is north of Brooks and the Trans-Canada Highway.

The village was named for Duchess Louise Marguerite.

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Village of Duchess had a population of 1,053 living in 378 of its 404 total private dwellings, a change of -2.9% from its 2016 population of 1,085.
