The Blue Devils compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

They won their first and only NCAA tournament in 1986, co-captained by their current head coach, John Kerr Jr. and Mike Linenberger.

The Kennedy Tower, offers press boxes and hospitality suites at the top of Koskinen Stadium.

The team's practice locker rooms are located in the Murray Building, next to Koskinen stadium, The Blue Devil's have been one of the successful programs with recruiting since 2010.
