It offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Sciences.

Prof. Dr Satyendranath Sen inaugurated the Main College Building, the then Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University, on 11th Nov. 1968.

DNC college also serves as the study centre of Netaji Subhash Open University.

The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
