In 2012, she won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer for her short story "The Cartographer Wasps and the Anarchist Bees"; the work was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Short Story[1] and the World Fantasy Award—Short Fiction.

[3] Her debut novel, On Fragile Waves, was published in February 2021 by Erewhon Books.

[4] The novel was named a finalist for the 2022 Crawford Award presented by the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts.
