ERH is one of 12 hospitals under the jurisdiction of Fraser Health, which services more than 1.3 million people.

It is a Centre of Excellence for elective surgery for urology, obstetrics and gynaecology, plastics and orthopedics.

The hospital also offers public education clinics for asthma, diabetes, rehabilitation services and programs for cardiology, children's grief recovery, youth crisis response and early psychosis prevention.

More than 60% of all new hospital equipment is bought with money raised by the Foundation, which sponsors special events including dinners, auctions, and a charity golf tournament.
