East Foothills, San Jose

East Foothills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Clara County, California, United States and a neighborhood of San Jose.

The population was 8,269 at the 2010 census and it is located about 4 miles east of downtown San Jose.

As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 8,133 people, 2,711 households, and 2,090 families residing in the CDP.

15.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

In the California State Legislature, East Foothills is in the 15th Senate District, represented by Democrat Dave Cortese, and in the 27th Assembly District, represented by Democrat Esmeralda Soria.
