As of the 2020 census,[2] the township population was 975, a decline from the figure of 1,077 tabulated in 2010.
It contains the communities of Georgeville, Hamill, Mottarns Mill, and Savan.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 31.4 square miles (81 km2), all land.
[4] As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 1,196 people, 423 households, and 326 families residing in the township.
20.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
