Edgemere is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States.
Meeting held at the Fitzell Farm which was situated where the old Rheem plant was located (later it became the record storage facility for Bethlehem Steel plant at Sparrows Point).
At the 2000 census there were 9,249 people, 3,529 households, and 2,513 families living in the CDP.
There were 3,764 housing units at an average density of 348.2 per square mile (134.4/km2).
The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.43% White, 5.19% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.18% Pacific Islander, 0.09% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races.
