Edison, Nebraska

Edison is a village in Furnas County, Nebraska, United States.

The first post office in Edison was established in 1880, and was named for Edward "Eddie" Rohr, the postmaster's son.

[5] According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.27 square miles (0.70 km2), all land.

The racial makeup of the village was 97.7% White, 0.8% Native American, 0.8% Pacific Islander, and 0.8% from two or more races.

35.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

None of the families and 1.4% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 8.0% of those over 64.
