[3] Initially, Jagger wanted to become a painter of horses, however she spent several years painting local landscapes.

Painted Fabrics offered a combination of physical and psychological rehabilitation through the artistic and entrepreneurial talents of a small group of women.
[6] From small charitable beginnings, as part of SASMA (The Disabled Sailors' and Soldiers' Mutual Association) the company went on to produce fabrics and clothing of fashionable design and high quality for several decades.
[7] Painted Fabrics became a limited company in 1923, received national press coverage and the continued support and patronage of the British royal family.
Twenty-eight of her paintings were included in The Art of Jagger Family, an exhibition which toured to seven towns and cities across the Midlands and North of England during 1939-40.
