Edward David Burt (born 23 November 1978) is the Premier of Bermuda and leader of the Progressive Labour Party (PLP).

[4] Burt is Bermuda's youngest ever premier, having taken office at the age of 38.

[citation needed] Burt attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., double majoring in finance and information systems and attaining a master's degree in information systems development.

[3] During his time at GW, he served as president of the George Washington University Student Association.

[8] In 2012, he was elected to represent the constituency of Pembroke West Central, and was re-elected with increased majorities in 2017 and 2020.
