Edward Jarvis FRAS FRHistS (born 1975) is a British author of religious history, politics and theology, and an Anglican clergyman.
[1] His books address previously underresearched topics such as the Independent Sacramental Movement and aspects of the introduction of Christianity in Southeast Asia, specifically in Vietnam, Myanmar (Burma), Malaysia, and Singapore.
[2][3] Edward Jarvis was born in Kingston upon Hull, England, in 1975, to an English father and an Italian mother.
Jarvis attended Malet Lambert School before studying theology and religious studies at Trinity & All Saints College, Logos Institute of Theology, and York St John University.
[8][9] In 2021, 2022, and 2024 he produced three volumes on the history, theology, and sociology of the Anglican Churches in Southeast Asia.
