Edward L. Salmon Jr.

Edward Lloyd "Ed" Salmon, Junior (January 30, 1934 – June 29, 2016) was an American bishop in The Episcopal Church.

[1] Born in Natchez, Mississippi, he received his bachelor's degree from the University of the South and a bachelor's degree in theology from Virginia Theological Seminary.

[2] He was a noted conservative who remained in the Episcopal Church, unlike his former diocese.

[3] The measure to allow the blessing of same-sex unions won by a 111–41 vote with 3 abstentions.

[4] After retiring from his episcopal see, Salmon served as the dean of Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin.
