[clarification needed] On 2 January, the issue of an official manager was under examination by Federación Salvadoreña de Fútbol (FESFUT) and had been discussed by them.
Fernando Palomo stated in his ESPN blog that discussions had possibly taken place with a potential Spanish manager and FESFUT.
