Elbridge Township, Michigan

[3] Elbridge Township was part of the Ottawa Indian Reservation created by treaty in 1855.

The ethnic and racial composition of the population was 82.3% non-Hispanic white, 0.3% African American, 0.7% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 16.1% Hispanic or Latino and 1.3% reporting two or more races.

[6] As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,233 people, 344 households, and 259 families residing in the township.

There were 451 housing units at an average density of 12.5 per square mile (4.8/km2).

19.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
