McConnel is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland.

It was created in the 2017 redistribution[1] as essentially a reconfigured version of Brisbane Central.

It covers the Brisbane CBD, as well as the suburbs of Kelvin Grove, Herston, Bowen Hills, Newstead, Teneriffe, Fortitude Valley, Spring Hill, Petrie Terrace and New Farm.

With her husband David McConnel, they ran the Cressbrook pastoral station.

After the Bowens left Queensland, Mary McConnel continued to raise funding to build a children's hospital.
