Electoral results for the district of Clarence

Clarence, an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales, has had two incarnations, the first from 1859 to 1920, the second from 1927 to the present.

[1][2][3][4] Steve Cansdell (National) resigned.

The Premier Sir John See (Progressive) was the member for Grafton while John McFarlane (Progressive) was the member for The Clarence.

[54] The question of the Progressive candidate was resolved when Sir John See decided to retire due to ill health and accepted an appointment to the Legislative Council.

The sitting member Charles Fawcett successfully contested The Richmond.
