Electoral results for the district of Tamworth

Tamworth, an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales, has had two incarnations from 1890 until 1920 and from 1927 until the present.

Raymond Walsh (Independent) had won the 1901 election for Tamworth, however he was made bankrupt in 1903 and was defeated in the subsequent by-election, by John Garland (Liberal Reform).

The sitting member was William Sawers (Progressive) who did not contest the election as he had been elected in March 1901 to the federal seat of New England.

Hanley Bennett was the member for the abolished district of Liverpool Plains.
