Her professional career was as a barrister before she was appointed executive director of the Conservative Christian Fellowship in 2006.
Baroness Berridge is also part of the Advisory Council of the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East which supports the work of Canon Andrew White, the "vicar of Baghdad".
She is a founding and steering committee member of the International Panel of Parliamentarians for Freedom of Religion or Belief.
Born in 1972, she was the second youngest female member of the House of Lords, after Baroness Lane-Fox of Soho.
Baroness Berridge was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the School System at the Department for Education, and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Women at the Department for International Trade, by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in February 2020.
