Elmar Theveßen (born 3 June 1967) is a German journalist and author.
Also he studied Foreign Policy and journalism at the American University in Washington, D.C.. From 1991 to 1995 Theveßen was a tv-journalist for politics in ZDF-studio Bonn.
From 2003 until 2007 Theveßen was a managing editor for ZDF-studio „Aktuelles" in Berlin.
[2] Since March 2019 Theveßen has been the director of the ZDF-studio in Washington.
Elmar Theveßen is criticized by other journalists [4][5] for his numerous statements in which Elmar Theveßen called Donald Trump a "fascist", a "malignant narcissist", an "autocrat who wants to destroy American democracy with a wrecking ball" and making comparisons to Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
