[1] Elmvale is located near Ossossané, which was the largest 16th century Wendat settlement and capital of the confederacy.
The Wendat (named `Huron` by French explorers) called their traditional territory Wendake.
Minor damage was reported to a barn roof and silo, and around 65 mature trees were uprooted.
