Eloy is a city in Pinal County, Arizona, United States, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Tucson and about 65 miles (105 km) southeast of Phoenix.
In 1902, the Southern Pacific Railroad named the area train stop Eloy, an acronym for East Line Of Yuma.
The racial makeup of the city was 58% Hispanic or Latino, 5% Black or African American, 41% White, 4% Native American, 1% Asian, <1% Pacific Islander, 31% from other races, and 5% from two or more races.
15.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
