Elyria, Nebraska

Elyria is a village in Valley County, Nebraska, United States.

Elyria was originally called Eldon, and under the latter name was established in 1888 when the railroad was extended to that point.

33.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

42.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 16.7% of families and 16.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 15.4% of those over 64.
