Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee

It is the successor to the previous Energy and Climate Change Select Committee, which existed from 2009 to 2016.

The House of Commons agreed to the establishment of the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee on 28 October 2008,[1] following the establishment of the Department of Energy and Climate Change on 3 October 2008.

The remit of the committee is to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the department, and any departmental bodies.

The committee was revitalised with the formation of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
