Ennerdale, South Africa

Ennerdale is a town in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng, South Africa.

Ennerdale was declared as a coloured group area under the apartheid regime.

Ennerdale was established as an extension to Grasmere, farmland which was meant to serve and be occupied by the white communities of Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark, however due to Apartheid, Ennerdale, the now new Township next to Grasmere was established to house the Coloured people of South Africa.
