Enrique Orizaola Velázquez[1] (26 March 1922 – 10 June 2013) was a Spanish football player and coach.
[2] Born in Santander,[3] Orizaola played for Racing de Santander.
[4] Orizaola coached Gimnástica Torrelavega, Racing de Santander, Real Jaén,[5] Real Murcia, Barcelona,[6] Osasuna, Real Oviedo,[7] Levante,[8] Deportivo,[9] Real Valladolid, Rayo Vallecano, Sabadell,[10] Albacete Balompié,[11] Salamanca,[12] CD Badajoz,[13][14] Calvo Sotelo[15] and Xerez CD.
[16] At the start of 1961, he took on charge as manager of FC Barcelona after Ljubiša Broćić's sacking and achieved the greatest result of his career: he reached the first European Cup final of the club's history, eventually losing to SL Benfica 3-2.
His son, Enrique Orizaola Paz, was the chairman of Córdoba CF.
