Eric Wendell Wilson (born October 17, 1962) is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL).
[1] He played college football at Maryland,[2] where, as a senior, he was honored by both Football News and the Newspaper Enterprise Association (NEA) as a first-team All-American.
[3][4] Wilson was selected in the seventh round of the 1985 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers.
[5] He was cut by Green Bay near the end of training camp, but signed with the Buffalo Bills a few weeks later,[6] and appeared in 14 games for them.
[7] Wilson was out of professional football in 1986, but joined the Washington Redskins as a replacement player during the 1987 NFLPA strike.
