Erwarton

Erwarton or Arwarton is a small village and civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England.

Under the organ is a note stating "...after her execution in the Tower of London, 19 May 1536, it was recorded that her heart was buried in this church by her Uncle, Sir Philip Parker of Erwarton Hall".

[citation needed] Erwarton Hall, a Grade II* listed building, was rebuilt in about 1575 by Sir Phillip Parker.

Between 1905 and 1976 the Hall was leased to the Admiralty for the use of the Commanders of HMS Ganges, a training establishment based at Shotley Gate.

[5] The Queens Head, a Grade II listed public house, dates from the 17th century or earlier.
