Eszter Bánffy, FSA, FBA (born 1957) is a Hungarian prehistorian, archaeologist, and academic.
She is also a professor at the Archaeological Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
[3][4] Between 1983 and 1986 she was an academic postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
[3] On 9 April 2015, Bánffy was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London.
[3] She won the Kuzsinszky Bálint Memorial Medal in 2007 and the Field Discovery Award from Shanghai Archaeology Forum in 2017.
