Euproctis is a genus of tussock moths in the family Erebidae described by Jacob Hübner in 1819.
Species are cosmopolitan, widespread throughout Palearctic, African, Oriental and Australian regions.
Molecular phylogenetic studies indicate that the genus as presently understood comprises a large number of unrelated lineages (i.e., is paraphyletic), only a few of which have names (e.g., the genera Kidokuga and Sphrageidus), and is therefore in serious need of revision.
[1] Palpi obliquely porrect (projecting forward), reaching beyond the frons.
Antennae bipectinated (comb like on both sides) in both sexes, where branches are long in males each with a spine to keep it in position with regard to the contiguous branch.
