European Affairs Committee

[1] The commission has competence in the field of the European Union and monitors the work carried out by the various Institutions of the European Union.

It examines bills and proposals for laws relating to the European Union and transmits this work to the other committees.

In 2019, Pieyre-Alexandre Anglade was elected as the committee's chairman;[2] however, due to disagreements with incumbent chairwoman Sabine Thillaye who refused to accept the legality of the vote, he did not take office.
