The European Law Moot Court (ELMC) is an annual moot court competition between rival teams of university students who have an interest in European Union law.
During the written round the teams of three or four students write two legal pleadings (one each for the applicant and respondent).
In addition, one member from each team at the regional finals can participate in the competition as the representative of the European Commission or Advocate-General of the European Court of Justice and is eligible to receive a separate award for his or her effort at the all-European finals.
There is also a special award for the best oral speaker and the best written pleadings.
