Everything Is Automatic

"Everything is Automatic" is a song by the Matthew Good Band.

It was released as the first single from the band's second studio album, Underdogs.

In a 1997 interview, Good said that he was inspired to write "Everything Is Automatic" after watching a television program about liposuction: The music video for "Everything Is Automatic" was directed by Bill Morrison and filmed in Burnaby in October, 1997.

The video features several up-close, zoomed and defocussed shots of the band preparing and performing for a video shoot.

These are intermixed with fast-action shots of various streets and computer-generated billboards with catchphrases like "Think of your future, prepare for the distaster [sic]" and "Everything is allright [sic]".
