Evionnaz is a municipality in the district of Saint-Maurice in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.
[3] Evionnaz has an area, as of 2011[update], of 48 square kilometers (19 sq mi).
The large district stretches from the left bank of the Rhone river over to the Dents-du-Midi mountains.
[4] Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks French (850 or 91.4%) as their first language, Portuguese is the second most common (31 or 3.3%) and German is the third (12 or 1.3%).

[12] In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the CVP which received 37.12% of the vote.
[14] In the 2007 Swiss Council of States election a total of 446 votes were cast, of which 21 or about 4.7% were invalid.
[4] There were 429 residents of the municipality who were employed in some capacity, of which females made up 40.8% of the workforce.
The number of jobs in the primary sector was 14, of which 9 were in agriculture and 5 were in forestry or lumber production.
In the tertiary sector; 47 or 44.8% were in wholesale or retail sales or the repair of motor vehicles, 4 or 3.8% were in the movement and storage of goods, 20 or 19.0% were in a hotel or restaurant, 4 or 3.8% were the insurance or financial industry, 4 or 3.8% were in education and 4 or 3.8% were in health care.
