Fălești

Fălești (Romanian pronunciation: [fəˈleʃtʲ]) is a city and the administrative center of Fălești District, Moldova.

The town had an important Jewish community before World War II, 51% of the total population.

[3][4] According to the 2014 census, the population of Fălești amounted to 12,074 inhabitants, a decrease compared to the previous census in 2004, when 14,931 inhabitants were registered.
