The series is run to the FIA's Formula 4 regulations and organized by Altawkilat Meritus.GP.

Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched Formula 4 in March 2013.

[1] The cars used in this series are Tatuus F4-T421 powered by an Autotecnica engine.

As in the French F4 Championship and F4 Indian Championship, all vehicles compete under a single team, operated by the series organizer Altawkilat Meritus.GP.
