Dinamo Tbilisi is a Georgian football club based in Tbilisi, which has regularly taken part in European competitions since its first appearance in the 1972–73 UEFA Cup.
Since then, the club has competed in every UEFA-organized competition, with the exception of the UEFA Super Cup.
On 13 May 1981, Dinamo Tbilisi became the first Georgian club to win a UEFA title by defeating Carl Zeiss Jena in the 1981 European Cup Winners' Cup final.
