Founded in 2021, it is the reserve team of Spartak Varna, and currently plays in Third League, the third level of Bulgarian football.

Obliged to play one level below their main side, Spartak II is ineligible for promotion to First League and also can not compete in the Bulgarian Cup.

Up to five non-EU nationals can be registered and given a squad number for the first team in the Bulgarian First Professional League however only three can be used in a match day.
