[4][5] On 26 March 2024, Angola received the hosting rights, beating fellow bidders Egypt, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia.
Alongside the capital Luanda, venues in Moçâmedes, Lubango, Benguela, Huambo and Huíla are being considered.
[9][10] The qualification draw was held on 24 November 2023 in South Africa.
Games will be played from February to November 2024, to determine the 16 nations who will qualify for the tournament.
