Māori Goddesses are displayed in italics The primordial gods were Ranginui and Papatūānuku, Heaven and Earth.

Hine-te-Iwaiwa married Tangaroa and had Tangaroa-a-kiukiu, Tangaroa-a-roto, and Rona.

Tangaroa-a-roto and Rona married Te Marama the moon.
