Fang Zuqi (Chinese: 方祖岐; pinyin: Fāng Zǔqí; born October 1935) is a general in the People's Liberation Army of China who served as political commissar of the Nanjing Military Region from 1993 to 2000.
[1] Fang was born in Jingjiang, Jiangsu, in October 1935, while his ancestral home in Huizhou, Anhui.
[1] He enlisted in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in August 1951,[2] and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in June 1956.
[3] He was assigned to the Shenyang Military Region in May 1970, what he eventually served as deputy director in December 1984.
In March 2003, he was chosen as vice chairperson of the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
