Ferdousi Mazumder

Ferdousi Mazumder (née Ara Begum; born 18 June 1943)[1] is a Bangladeshi film, television and stage actress.

[1] Director Abdullah Al Mamun called her "one of the most sought after actresses of the golden era of BTV dramas".

[citation needed] Mazumder started her drama career through her brother, Munier Chowdhury, a playwright and novelist.

[1] She first acted in the drama Daktar Abdullahar Karkhana, written by Shawkat Osman, which was a production of the then Iqbal Hall of the University of Dhaka.

[1] She directed five stage plays including Meherjan Arekbar, Tahara Tokhono, Chithi and Dui Bon.
