Fernando Clavijo Batlle

Fernando Clavijo Batlle (born 10 August 1971) is a Spanish politician and incumbent president of the Canary Islands.

[1] He studied economics and business at the University of La Laguna, working in the private sector at the same time.

He then became an advisor to the musical activities organization of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

After the elections of May 27, 2007, Mayor Ana Oramas appointed him, at the age of 35, first deputy, delegated to Urban Planning.

On 12 September 2014, he ran for the Canarian Coalition's nomination for the regional elections of 24 May 2015, against the incumbent Paulino Rivero.
