Ferndale is a census-designated place (CDP) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States.

Neighboring communities are Linthicum to the northwest, Brooklyn Park to the northeast, and Glen Burnie to the east and south.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.96 square miles (10.3 km2), all land.
