Ferreira do Zêzere

Ferreira do Zêzere (pronounced [fɨˈʁɐjɾɐ ðu ˈzezɨɾɨ] ⓘ, locally [fɨˈreɾɐ -]) is a municipality in Santarém District in Portugal.

Administratively, the municipality is divided into 7 civil parishes (freguesias):[3] Ferreira do Zêzere, founded by Pedro Ferreira and his wife in the 13th century, is said to be one of the most-visited villages in the district of Santarém.

In the surroundings of the village there is the medieval Vila de Dornes with a view over the Zêzere River and classed as a Templar tower.
