Naveen Patnaik was elected as Chief Minister of Odisha for a record fifth time in 2019 after securing a landslide victory in 2019 Odisha Legislative Assembly election.

Biju Janata Dal secured 112 seats out of 147 in the sixteenth Odisha Legislative Assembly.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with 15 Cabinet Ministers and 5 Minister of State with Independent Charges were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Ganeshi Lal at the Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar on 29 May 2019.

All ministers of previous cabinet resigned on 4 June 2022.

Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal administered the oath to the new ministers.
