Flachau

Flachau is a village in the district of St. Johann im Pongau in the Austrian state of Salzburg, with a population of 2,802 (2016 data).

Up into the 19th century, Flachau was a center of iron smelting in the Pongau district.

Flachau is home to a parish church consecrated on September 8, 1722, which was built upon the request of the miners and smelters of the village.
