Florence is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States.
[5] Florence, a significant cotton processing center, was the original destination of the Bartlett-Florence Railway, later the Bartlett Western Railroad, which ran from a connection at Bartlett with the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad to Florence.

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
