The women's football tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan was held from 21 July to 6 August 2021.
The twelve national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 18 players, including two goalkeepers.
[2] The official squad lists were released by FIFA on 7 July 2021, with the athletes originally named as alternates assigned the numbers 19 through 22.
[3][4] The IOC also confirmed that a player must appear on at least one 18-player matchday roster to be considered an Olympian and to receive a medal.
The numbers of caps and goals listed for each player do not include any matches played after the start of the tournament.
