The football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place from 24 July to 10 August 2024 in France.
[1] In addition to the Olympic host city of Paris, matches were also played in Bordeaux, Décines-Charpieu (near Lyon), Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Saint-Étienne.
[2] The games held separate tournaments for men and women Associations affiliated with FIFA participated in qualifying tournaments to clinch their spots for the Olympics.
Men's teams were restricted to under-23 players (born on or after 1 January 2001) with a maximum of three overage players allowed, while there were no age restrictions on women's teams.
[8][9] The FIFA Council approved the distribution of spots at their meeting on 24 February 2022.
